Tips For Creating The Perfect Care Package

22/03/20

Whether you want to send some get well wishes to a poorly friend, a few thoughtful bits and pieces to someone far away or a box of love for any occasion from birthdays to new babies and everything in-between, a customised care package bursting with handpicked treats is just the way to do it. Fun to put together and so lovely to receive, here are a few tips for what to include…

Something yummy
Edible treats are always a winner, whether they’re healthy or not! For something sweet look for artisan candy, luxury chocolates and handmade cookies with pretty packaging or send a few savoury snacks perfect for keeping energy levels up or enjoying with a drink. Speaking of which, why not include a mini bottle of fizz or a cute miniature of botanical gin – ideal for celebratory care packages – or indulgent hot chocolate and speciality teas to guarantee a warming cuppa.

Something comforting
A little like sending a virtual hug, something comforting is a lovely addition to any care package. We’re talking cosy hot water bottles, soft slipper socks, comfy blankets and pretty dressing gowns – perfect if the recipient is having to spend a few days in bed, greeting visitors in hospital or simply getting a little R&R.

Something pampering
Who doesn’t love a pampering giftt or two?! The kind of thing we often wouldn’t buy ourselves but would love to receive, from scented candles to beautiful bath oils, luxurious hand creams, eye masks infused with essential oils and mani/pedi vouchers – happiness guaranteed.

Something for keeping busy
If you’re sending a care package to someone who isn’t well or is in recovery, chances are they’ll be grateful for something to keep them busy. We love puzzle books for sudoku or crosswords, mindful colouring and art projects, books and magazines or tailormade podcast lists and a set of headphones for something really thoughtful.

A card or handwritten note
Sending a few words to show that you’re thinking of someone, to make someone smile or to share your support and love is the perfect way to add that finishing touch to your care package.
