Emily McDowell Empathy Cards

Emily McDowell

Finding the right words when someone is seriously ill can be tricky. Sometimes a "Get well soon" card is not appropriate or does it convey an understanding on how an individual may be feeling.

Noting a gap in the market, Emily McDowell created her empathy cards in response to the loneliness and isolation she felt during her own cancer treatment, when many of her close friends and family members disappeared because they didn’t know what to say, or said the absolute wrong thing without realising it.

The empathy card collection focuses on real, authentic ways to communicate about sickness and suffering in a way other get well soon cards don't convey.

Emily also has a number of other collections which cover key events and celebrations. Greeting card collections.
