Cheese Sablés with Fennel and Chilli
The humble Sablé is a French shortbread originating in Sablé-sur-Sarthe and that along with a wealth of global ingredients makes this a truly international biscuit. These Sablés were created at a Scottish bakery that specialises in shortbread so you know they are going to be light and crisp and melt-in-the-mouth. Incorporating both English Cheddar and Italian Parmesan, they are wonderfully cheesy and the addition of Fennel and Chilli imparts a warm and spicy undertone. Delicious cold or hot and a perfect accompaniment to a glass of fine wine! A mouthwatering savoury snack for cheese lovers!
