Bananagrams is a fast paced, super fun game for all the family. If you’ve looked at the pictures and thought it looks like another well known vocabulary related game in a banana shaped bag, stop right there! The joy of Bananagrams is that you really don’t have to be a wordsmith to play and enjoy, it’s about speed, laughter and enjoying the many terrible Banana related puns it offers.

There are various ways to play, from solo Bananagram Solitaire to an 8 player epic. The most popular way involves placing all the tiles face side down in a ‘Bunch’, then each player chooses a number of tiles (this number depends on how many people are playing) Once someone shouts ‘Split’ players turn their tiles over and try to arrange them all in a crossword style word grid. Once all your tiles are used shout ‘Peel’ and all players must take another tile from the ‘Bunch’. Once the ‘Bunch’ has fewer tiles than the number of players the first person to use all of their tiles shouts ‘Bananas’ and wins the hand, assuming the other players don’t find any ‘Rotten Bananas’ within their word grid.
