Having lost my mother to cancer at a young age, Mothering Sunday was always a sad day - a reminder that my mum was no longer around. Mother's Day has now become a happier day for me thanks to the arrival of my little boy last year, but I have many friends who I know will be struggling today. Those who have lost their mums - some very recently and it will be the first Mother’s Day without them. Those whose mums are ill and this will be their last Mother's Day. Those who are mums and are scared that they wont be here with their children next year. Those who have lost children and babies. And those who long to be mums. You can't help but reflect. Lots of love to everyone struggling today.
