Breast Cancer Care - The Show

In October I took to the catwalk in support of Breast Cancer Care. The Show celebrates the strength and courage of 32 men and women going through breast cancer and raises vital funds for this wonderful charity that has provided incredible support to me. It was an incredible experience. We were thoroughly spoilt. Our hair and make up and nails were done professionally and we were styled by fashion expert Hilary Alexander and choreographed by legendary producer Lesley Goring before strutting our stuff in front of 2,000 people. I had 2 tables of family and friends cheering me on.

The event raised over £400,000 for Breast Cancer Care! What an achievement!

Unfortunately I received the news last week that my catwalk partner, Emma Pontin, passed away. She was feeling terribly fragile at the event, but really wanted to be part of it. She was an incredible woman with such a zest for life. She was diagnosed at the age of 30 when she was about to set sail around the world. Unfortunately it came back 7 years later when she was given the awful news that it was incurable. She will be terribly, terribly missed and my thoughts are with her family and friends.

Here are some photos from the evening.

Applications are now open for the 2016 Show which will be particularly special as they celebrate their 20th year. You can apply at the following link: https://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/fundraising/show-london-2016
